And Now for Something Completely Different ...

This week I'll be hosting author L.A. DeVaul on her Celery Tree Big Blog Tour. What the heck is a Celery Tree, you ask?  And how would one go on tour? Well, L.A. Devaul aka Leisel is going to explain all about it over the next two days. Here's the scoop:

Tomorrow (Wednesday), Leisel will introduce you to Celery Tree, a new and innovative concept for an online bookstore and writer's community. She calls it a "village" and I like that description!

On Thursday, I'll post a Q and A between me and Leisel - as a writer looking at the potential opportunity of Celery Tree, I had some questions!

Throughout the Celery Tree Big Blog Tour, Karen Gowen (Leisel's mom and co-founder of Celery Tree), will be available to answer your questions. I'll give you her email address in tomorrow and Thursday's posts.

If you want to be ahead of the rest of the class, you can go check out CeleryTree.com now!

In the meantime, let's ponder these thought-provoking questions:

Does celery grow on trees?
Is this what a celery tree looks like?

I don't have anything to publish yet, but I am so tempted to go over there and sign up anyway.

  2. He, Melissa -- great website! I want to join, but the webpage is way too wide for my screen. And you might want to tell the webhost/designer that the book icons are over-laying the page's text, and I can't read it. Maybe it's just my computer? Other websites don't do this for me, so I'm not sure. But they might want to look at the layout. Thanks!

  4. Hi Karen! I think it's a great concept too!

Rachel - we can ask Leisel or Karen how future authors can feel part of the "village."

MK - I'll pass that on to Karen. Let me ask you - can you see my page ok? When I redesigned, I used rather large font because I find the font on sites is often too small.

  6. What a cute post Melissa! And M.K, thank you for that comment/suggestion. I'm wondering what Browser you are using? It works very well on Firefox and Google Chrome, as well as the updated Internet Explorer, but if you have Internet Explorer 6, this will not work well. IE 6 is an older version, and the functionalities that built this program aren't compatible back that far.
