About this Blog

I am a poet, writer and yoga teacher.

I have three published books (not about yoga) and my articles and poems have been published in numerous print magazines and online literary journals.

My first introduction to yoga came at the age of 10, when my mother and I took a class at a local community center. I settled into a dedicated practice about 25 years ago, and have been teaching for more than 12 years now.

This blog is where I explore whatever is speaking to me in the moment. I write about life, with a yogic perspective, and about yoga, with a real life perspective.

I have a different blog where you can find information about my two middle grade novels, The Christmas Village and Return to Canterbury. Both are available on Amazon.com. My writer blog is: Author Melissa Ann Goodwin.

My current work-in-progress is a historical novel inspired by my mother's experience as an American girl in an English boarding school for poor children at the start of World War II. Recently, I've felt myself being drawn back to writing poetry, so I am also in the process of developing a body of work that I hope will become a book of poems.

I hope you enjoy this blog - thank you for stopping by!
