Nothing Happens and Nothing Happens and Then Everything Happens ~ Faye Weldon

If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know that this quote from Faye Weldon shows up on a recurring basis. I love this quote because IT'S SO TRUE!

Right now we are in the Everything Happens phase....

Our house is under contract
And we found a place to rent until spring
When we will get our RV and hit the road
for .... a good while ...
But first the appraisal on the house has to come in all right
And the buyers have to close on the sale of their home
So nothing is a done deal yet
But we are packing our stuff
Because closing is the end of September
Assuming all goes well...
And my book is almost ready
And I just got the date for my book signing in Andover, Mass. (Sat 11/12)
Which is very exciting
And now I have to book my flights
But I'm also really really tired
Because all this is stressful and exciting and stressful
But I'm not complaining
Because it's all good stuff
So I'd be a brat to complain
But I could use a really good nap!

So that's what's up with me...what's up with you?

  2. Hey Laura - thanks! It's that waiting part - the not knowing, that is so stressful!! Looking forward to having at least a few things decided one way or another...

  5. Hitting the road in an R.V. for "awhile"...Oh. How. I. WISH! Congrats!!

And yes, you have sort of been slammed - Yikes! I wish you much luck in having it all come together as planned, with few (if any) hiccups!

Will you be blogging your travel adventures? I'd love to do travel writing and explore the entire U.S. and all the connected bits!! :-)

  6. AB, you are a mindreader. I think this blog will turn into one called, "Reluctant Adventures of a Confirmed Homebody." It might even be a book. I hope it would be Erma Bombeck-esque. If it were up to me, I'd never leave the house, but then I would miss all the adventure. I never want to go, but then I have the best time when I do. I annoy even myself this way!

  7. Awww...well, I do love being home but I have such a burning desire to see every inch of the planet (but not the pockebook), that I would jump at any chance for adventure. Wanderlust is my favorite word AND I have visions of parking a Gypsy wagon in my back yard as my 'mom cave' so that I can imagine all the adventures I'll have. You know, by now - and from my blog, what an active imagination I have. :-)
